Deval family have been in maritime business more than centuries. They have internationally and domestically shipped many commodities, commerce international cargoes and mostly had worked together with The Ottoman Navy in the past. It can be said that it was founded in 19th Century in Turkey.

  • Captain Hasan son of Haci Osman together built up company by ordering new built two wooden ships, which were about 100 mt DWT each. They were Turkish built and named as SS Pilevne and SS Balina.

  • Haci Osman, who was born in 1847 also joint to the business as son of Dev Ali Hasan. This also started forming family-owned business.

  • Mustafa Efendi and his son Dev Ali Hasan commenced shipping business with wooden ships.
